The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) "fished" a small alligator out of the Flood Control Channel in Harbor City tonight at approximately 8:45 p.m. With assistance from the Department of Recreation and Parks, the alligator was wrapped in a net and swung up from the channel. LAFD and Rec and Parks personnel are waiting for the City's Animal Control Department to arrive and transport the animal. It's final destination will be the Los Angele Zoo.
